Alcohol and drug consumption is present throughout all age classes and social stratum. In the UK the prevalence for driving under the influence of drugs (DUID) is in the double-digit dimension. In that case unfitness to drive equates unfitness to work, but it affects different areas and authorities. Where the duties of police authorities end, employers liability starts. Who is looking the other way hurts his caretaking obligations - and is liable in case of an accident on the job.
