DrugWipe 6 S detects consumption of up to seven drug groups: Cannabis, opiates, cocaine, amphetamines, methamphetamines (MDMA, ecstasy), benzodiazepines and ketamine.<\/p>\n<p>The test left Chief Superintendent Wilson Ng of the Hong Kong police convinced, \u201cThe method we\u2019d been using took far longer, both on the street and at the police station.\u201d He went on, \u201cWith that test, it took around half an hour to obtain a clear result. The current ROFT (Rapid Oral Fluid Test) requires 8 to 10 minutes at most, so we save a lot of time.\u201d Ng also noted that the DrugWipe 6 S was far more objective.<\/p>\n<p>All officers who will be using the test for roadside screening from now on will receive intensive training in the form of a one-day course to ensure correct handling of DrugWipe 6 S.<\/p>\n<p>If a driver refuses to take a saliva test, this is treated as an offence in Hong Kong, subject to a maximum fine of up to $ 25,000, a prison sentence of up to 3 years and driving disqualification.
