DrugRead® - our most recent product placement: a new testing device
designed for use at roadside traffi c controls. Securetec mastered
the challenge to develop a reading device for saliva tests. Now allmultiple-parameter tests of our DrugWipe® S product line can be assessed objectively, quickly and easily in accordance to our usual handling.
The robust device sets itself apart by its light weight (800 grams) and by being on immediate stand-by always. Power supply by batteries guarantees flexible use at any time of day or night. Test results saved in the device are transferable to PC by USB in order to be used for further statistical evaluation.
First field study in several cities leaves users content
Policemen who were the fi rst to use DrugRead® have been highly content with reliability and handling of the new device. This spring the Italian Interior Ministry had initiated a comparative study called Tox Test with scientific supervision by a leading institution for Legal Medicine (Istituto di Medicina Legale) and with the participation of the Polizia Stradale in six main cities. DrugWipe® and DrugRead® were accredited for fast sampling, safe read-out and documentation. The final evaluation has not yet reached closure.
